With a blend of large & small black soldier fly larvae, meal worms, dried for chickens, oyster shells, & chicken grit, our feed is packed with 21% protein & 15% calcium. Plus with 30% grit, our chick feed has 4% fiber to support digestion.

  • Our chicken worms, oyster shell and poultry grit mix can make up around 10% of their diet. For 6 chickens serve around 1/2 to 1 cup per day. To serve either hand feed, mix in with their regular feed or scatter on the ground to encourage foraging.

  • Grubs & Grits contains both oyster shell calcium and bsf larvae for chickens. This gives our mix 15% calcium, a mineral known to help increase chicken productivity, as well as create larger eggs with stronger shells and richer, more flavorful yolks.

  • Our mix of dried worms for chickens is safe for all layers no matter the breed. Due to the oyster shells and high calcium content, this blend of chicken grubs is for layers 18 weeks and up.

  • Grubs & Grits is specifically formulated for laying chickens. For treating ducks, quails or wild birds we would instead reccomend our dried mealworms and dried black fly larvae for chickens.

  • Grubs & Grits has a 2 year shelf life and comes in a resealable bag for easy storage without spoilage. Based on the feeding reccomendations for 6 chickens, our 10lb bag can last up to 47 days. However, this depends on the size of your flock.
