📜 Small Farm Transparency Notice
Our chickens are raised and processed right here on our homestead. We operate under the USDA Producer/Grower Exemption (9 CFR Part 381), which allows small-scale farms that raise their own poultry and sell directly to consumers to process on-site without federal inspection, provided they process fewer than 20,000 birds per year. We are well within that threshold. Our birds are handled with care, cleanliness, and pride — the same standards we hold ourselves to every single day. You are buying directly from the farmer, and we stand behind every bird we raise.

• More time on pasture means a richer, deeper flavor you simply cannot find at the grocery store. These birds are worth the wait — slow-roasted, braised, or fried for a showstopper meal.

🌟 Why Roasters? A store-bought rotisserie chicken averages $8–$10 for a factory-raised bird with added solutions and fillers. Our roasters are pasture-raised for 20 weeks with no shortcuts — the flavor difference is something you taste in the very first bite.

💰 How Pricing Works

Because every bird is unique, we charge based on the larger end of the weight range at the time of your order to reserve your bird. Once your chicken is processed and weighed, if it comes in lighter, we'll refund you the difference — no questions asked. You only ever pay for what you actually get.

Fryer Example: You pre-order and are charged $10.00 (2.5 lbs × $4.00). Your bird comes in at 2 lbs — we refund you $2.00. Simple and fair!

Roaster Example: You pre-order and are charged $25.00 (5 lbs × $5.00). Your bird comes in at 4 lbs — we refund you $5.00. Simple and fair!
