Living off-grid, traveling rural highways, or homesteading in a remote corner of the country is deeply rewarding. It's also, occasionally, deeply inconvenient.
You need a reliable internet connection to run your business. You need a safe, clean place to sleep when you're between properties or passing through. You need somewhere to store equipment, receive mail, and meet with a client that isn't the cab of your truck. You need a shower that doesn't involve a garden hose.
For the growing community of off-gridders, rural homesteaders, long-haul truckers, and road-weary travelers, those basic needs are surprisingly hard to meet in small rural towns. Most of the infrastructure built for travelers was designed for interstates and suburbs — not for people living and working on the land.
Off Grid Luxuries is being built to change that.
🤝 What Is Off Grid Luxuries?
Off Grid Luxuries is a community infrastructure hub designed to bridge the gap between self-reliance and modern convenience. Think of it as a basecamp for people who live differently — a place where off-gridders, homesteaders, truckers, travelers, and rural entrepreneurs can access the essential services they need without sacrificing the lifestyle they've chosen.
We're starting in St. Johns, Arizona — right in the heart of the high desert, where the off-grid and rural homesteading community is real, growing, and underserved. But the long-term vision is much bigger: a nationwide network of Off Grid Luxuries hubs located near rural and off-grid communities, along trucking corridors, and in the small towns that travelers actually pass through.
Wherever people are living and working off the beaten path, we want to be there.
🏠 What We Offer
🛏️ Lodging — Clean, Affordable, and Built for Real People
Whether you're in transition, passing through, or just need a few nights off the land, we have options at every budget:
- 🛏️ Bunkhouse (18+) — $30/night: Twin beds with privacy sliders and personal securable lockers. Shared space, real community, and everything you need to rest and recharge. Includes access to all communal amenities.
- 🚪 Private Room — $80/night: Your own space with a bed and TV. Perfect for when you need a door that closes and a night of quiet. Still has access to all shared amenities.
- 🏡 Cabins — $125 to $300/night depending on size: From cozy one-room retreats to larger family-sized cabins. A real home base for families, couples, or anyone who needs more than a bunk for a few days.
Standard check-in is after 3:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM — giving us time to keep every space spotless and ready for the next neighbor who needs it.
🚿 Communal Amenities — The Good Stuff
Every guest has access to our full suite of shared facilities:
- 🚿 Bathhouse with locking private showers — clean, secure, and never a line you can't handle. Your privacy is protected even in a shared space.
- 👕 Communal laundry — because nobody wants to haul dirty clothes across the state.
- 🛋️ Relaxing lounge — a quiet place to decompress, read, connect with other travelers, or just sit still for a minute.
- 💼 Business suite — climate-controlled, with high-speed internet, workspace, and meeting room access for calls, client meetings, or co-op planning sessions.
- 📦 Secure storage lockers — for equipment, tools, and supplies you can't leave in the truck.

- A dedicated mailing and business address through our partners — so you can run a real business from a rural zip code
📦 Mail & Delivery Services — Built for the Nomadic Life
Being off-grid or on the road shouldn't mean missing your packages. We've built a mail and delivery system designed around how you actually live:
- Deliver to your home base — or forward it to wherever you'll be next. Just pay the difference in shipping and we'll get it to you.
- Missed a delivery? We'll call you. After a reasonable hold period, unclaimed packages are returned — so pick up when you can and stay reachable.
- Last-mile delivery partnerships — we work with off-grid delivery partners (think Uber, but for rural supply runs) to get your supplies to you wherever you are, not just where the postal service stops.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to be nomadic, off-grid, or just far from town — without feeling cut off from the things you need.
💼 Business & Startup Support
Through our partnership with Luxury Business Services, guests and members can access LLC formation filing, registered business address services, startup advisory, and business loan referrals. And through Graceful Marketing, we offer web development, social media management, and local outreach for rural entrepreneurs who are ready to grow.
💰 Phase 1 Capital Overview
To establish our first hub in St. Johns, we're seeking investment to fund land acquisition, construction, and utility integration. Here's an honest look at where the money goes — these are estimates, and we'll update them as plans develop:

The long-term vision for Off Grid Luxuries is a nationwide network of community hubs — each one rooted in a rural or off-grid community, each one serving the people who live there and the travelers passing through. We're thinking about the trucker who needs a safe night's sleep and a hot meal between hauls. The homesteader who drove two hours to town and needs somewhere to work for the day. The family in transition between properties who needs a clean, affordable place to land for a week.
Every hub would follow the same model: affordable lodging, essential infrastructure, business support, and deep ties to the local community. No corporate overhead. No profit-first mentality. Just neighbors taking care of neighbors — and travelers — at every stop along the way.
